As per the annual tradition of the Annual Feast of the Church of St Sebastian of Angoda the church congregation brought the Holy Statue of St Sebastian in a grand procession to the NIMHSL premises to bless our clients and to pray for healing. On 26.01.2020.

The NIMH, together with consumers and staff had a Pongal celebration at NIMH premises on 15th January 2020. The religious and cultural events were followed by traditional Pongal refreshments.

A Buddha statue was placed at the accounts branch of the National Institute of Mental Health on 03rd January 2020. It was followed by a pirith chanting ceremony.

The Director-General of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka, Mr. Oshada Senanayake visited NIMH on 14th January 2020. He extended his and TRCSL support to enhance the services of 1926 – National Mental Health Helpline.

The ceremonial event of first working day of year 2020 was held on 01st January 2020 at NIMH premises, parallel to the national event held at the Presidential Secretariat.
