Fri (8am-4pm) &amp; Sat (8am-12pm)<\/h3>\n<p><strong>General<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Planning &amp; Development Unit\u00a0ensures all Ministry requirements in Planning and Project Management are met.<\/li>\n<li>It consists of sections in Planning, Quality Management, Public Health, Disaster Management, Health Informatics,\u00a0Media Coordination, &amp; Infection Control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Planning &amp; Quality Management<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct coordination\u00a0 with Director on all matters of the hospital which require planning.<\/li>\n<li>Participation in all main committee meetings of NIMH.<\/li>\n<li>Date surveillance on clinical incidents.<\/li>\n<li>Surveillance on adverse events reporting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clinical Governance:<\/strong> Meeting held monthly to review the clinical outcomes of the hospital.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Maintenance Unit<\/strong>:\u00a0The maintenance team looks after the day to day running repairs of NIMH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Public Health<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervision of the waste disposal system and the sewerage.<\/li>\n<li>Liaised with cleaning service and supervision of the general hygiene and the cleanliness of the hospital premises.<\/li>\n<li>Preventive activities such as identification of Dengue breeding sites and fogging activities, preventive measures taken to reduce head lice, body lice, flies and other entomological issues in collaboration with public health inspector.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly meetings with head of the units addressing current issues and solutions with the help of infection control nursing officer (ICNO).<\/li>\n<li>Health education to staff and outsiders.<\/li>\n<li>Injury Surveillance as per Ministry of Health NCD Unit guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Technical supervision and coordination for the activities of ICNOO and PHI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Disaster Management<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Assessment and annual revision of of risks in the institution.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Preparation, implementation, staff training and annual revision of Disaster Preparedness and Response Plan for identified risks.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Conducting annual Hospital Disaster Management Committee meetings.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Ensuring safety precautions in identified\u00a0 risks such as fire safety or occupational safety &amp; health.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Liaison with Disaster Preparedness and Response Division (DPRD) in Ministry of Health, Nutrition &amp; Indigenous Medicine.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 15px;\">Deployment of Disaster Relief teams and\/or Medical Relief Teams\u00a0for Psychological First Aid in National Disaster Situations and in disasters occurring in &amp; around the area [recent examples being in flood of Kelani River (2016), Salawa Blast (2016), and Garbage Collapse in Meethotamulla (2017)].<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Health Informatics<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Focal point for all data needs of NIMH.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining eIMMR System.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining Admission Record Information System.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining Gender Based Violence Information System.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining Health Net (web based information system to collect performance and facility information).<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing data entry of HRMIS (Human Resource Management for Medical Officers) and\u00a0HRIS (Human Resource Information System for All Staff).<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Clinical Governance meeting.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining website &amp; email.<\/li>\n<li>Focal point for health informatics related hardware, network, and software specifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Infection Control<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consultant Microbiologist supervises the work of the Infection Control Nurses (ICNO).<\/li>\n<li>Daily ward rounds according to the Infection control checklist and supervision in related to out-breaks, general hygiene, hand washing practice and waste management.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct monthly liaison nurse meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct quarterly\u00a0Infection Control committee meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Health education programmes for staff.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct <strong>wound care clinic<\/strong> every Friday.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hepatitis B vaccination programme<\/strong> for clients and staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Telephone Extension<\/strong>: 419 &#8211;
